1999 Nissan Frontier Service and Repair Manual
This 1999 Nissan Frontier factory service and repair manual is built around the specific engine and trim on your truck, so the torque values and diagnostic steps you follow are the ones Nissan published for that powertrain, including the 2.4L l4 (KA24DE) and 3.3L V6 (VG33E), not an approximation borrowed from a later Frontier.

Known issues on the 1999 Frontier. Five recalls are on federal record for this model year. Three cover aftermarket combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies sold for use on the Frontier that were built without the required amber side reflectors, which can leave the truck poorly illuminated and increase crash risk. A fourth covers the tail light socket, which on some trucks was improperly molded so the locking tab cannot retain the bulb, disabling the brake or tail lamp function. A fifth covers the fuel pump terminal on six-cylinder trucks, where the plastic molding can crack and corrode until the terminal strip breaks, stopping the engine without warning. Owners have filed 93 complaints for the year and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From tracing a dead tail lamp to inspecting the fuel pump terminal or a routine service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 1999 Frontier.
