Known issues on the 1999 Savana 2500. A single recall touches this model year, and it was issued against a replacement part rather than anything fitted at the factory: racing oil filters sold for these engines can seal inadequately and let engine oil escape, with fire the stated risk. One owner complaint is on the record, concerning the service brakes. That leaves the lubrication and brake sections as the practical starting points here, from oil pressure specifications and filter fitment through to hydraulic brake diagnostics, bleeding sequence and the fastener torque values that go with them.
