Known issues on the 1993 Corolla. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and all three were filed against replacement parts sold for the car rather than against the vehicle as Toyota built it. Two concern exterior lighting: the first covers aftermarket headlamps missing the amber side reflex reflector, and without those reflectors the lighting visibility may be affected; the second covers combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies sold as aftermarket equipment, where decreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash. The third is a suspension recall on front strut mounts sold as replacement equipment, on which the absence of the weld can allow the strut to come out of its mounting position. Owners have filed 154 complaints against the 1993 Corolla, and 22 technical service bulletins have been issued for it.
