Toyota fitted the 1993 Camry with two quite different engines, and this factory service and repair manual is matched to the exact year, engine and trim you own — the 2.2L four-cylinder (5S-FE) or the 3.0L V6 (3VZ-FE) — so the clearances and torque figures in it are the ones Toyota specified for that combination, not an approximation borrowed from another year of the car.

Known issues on the 1993 Camry. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, and both are exterior lighting campaigns covering replacement lamps sold for use on these vehicles. The first covers certain CK Motorsports combination headlights, clear corner, bumper and side marker lights sold as replacement lamps. The second covers certain Pro-A Motors corner lamps, turn signals and headlights sold the same way. The consequence on record is the same in both: without the amber reflectors, the vehicle will be poorly illuminated. The 1993 Camry also carries 334 owner complaints on federal record and 19 technical service bulletins.
From tracing a lighting fault on a car wearing replacement lamps to routine service on either engine, it keeps you on Toyota's own procedure and the specification that matches your car's engine and trim.
