Known issues on the 2007 Camry. Seven recalls sit on federal record for this model year. Two of them cover the accelerator pedal: in the first, a stuck open accelerator pedal may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop, and in the second the pedal may become hard to depress or slow to return to idle. Two more cover power window devices and controls, one because a switch that overheats may melt, possibly resulting in a fire, the other because the sliding electrical contacts may not be protected by lubricant. One covers the front seat heater, where a damaged copper strand heating element may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire. The remaining two are labeling recalls from Southeast Toyota and Gulf States Toyota for failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, tire selection and rims: one warns that a driver may overload a vehicle which may increase the risk of a crash, the other states only that this does not meet the standard requirements. Owners have logged 3,669 complaints for the year and Toyota has issued 164 technical service bulletins.
