Known issues on the 2010 Camry. Eight recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two of them concern the accelerator pedal: in one, the pedal may become hard to depress or slow to return to idle; in the other, a pedal stuck in the wide open position may result in very high vehicle speeds and make it difficult to stop. A hydraulic service brake recall covers cars built with the 4-cylinder (2AR-FE) engine, where the length of the power steering pressure hose may be insufficient. The recall notes that a brake tube perforation may result in brake fluid leakage. A frontal air bag recall from Southeast Toyota Distributors covers the sensor and control module side of the system, where the front passenger seat occupant sensing system may be out of calibration. A seat heater recall addresses a copper strand heating element that, if damaged, may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire. The remaining three are labeling recalls, two of them for failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110, tire selection and rims. An inaccurate label could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires, and a driver may overload a vehicle which may increase the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 764 complaints on this model year and Toyota has issued 194 technical service bulletins.
