Known issues on the 1992 Pickup. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and two of them fall on exterior lighting sold for the truck rather than on the truck as Toyota built it. The first covers aftermarket headlamps supplied for these vehicles that are missing the amber side reflex reflector; without those reflectors, lighting visibility may be affected. The second covers combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies sold as aftermarket equipment, where decreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash. The third is a steering linkage recall, on the relay rod, covering certain pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles on which the steering wheel is repeatedly turned under conditions requiring high steering effort and power assist. If the vehicle is continued to be operated in this condition, the relay rod may fracture. Owners have filed 62 complaints for the year, and 9 technical service bulletins have been issued.
