Known issues on the 1990 Pickup. Two recalls sit on federal record for this model year. One covers the steering linkage: repeatedly turning the steering wheel under conditions that demand high steering effort and power assist is the trigger, and if the vehicle continues to be operated in that condition the relay rod may fracture. The other is a headlamp recall, in which K2 Motor recalled 1,921 aftermarket headlamps sold for use on these vehicles that are missing the amber side reflex reflector; without those reflectors, lighting visibility may be affected. Owners have filed 29 complaints against the 1990 Pickup, and 9 technical service bulletins have been issued for it.
