1992 GMC C2500 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1992 GMC C2500 has six engines to account for, among them two diesels, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 and the turbocharged 6.5L V8, and a 5.7L V8 that could run on compressed natural gas as well as gasoline. The 4.3L V6, the 5.0L V8 and the 7.4L V8 complete the list. Known issues on the 1992 C2500. The federal record for this model year holds two recalls. One describes transmission fluid forced out through the vent tube by heat the design did not anticipate, with a fire risk where it meets a source of ignition; the other covers replacement oil filters able to seal poorly and lose engine oil. Three owner complaints are logged with NHTSA, one each on tires, visibility and steering.
