Known issues on the 1986 C2500. A clean federal record follows this model year: NHTSA holds no recalls against it and no owner complaints. The manual therefore stands on its coverage, which has to reach from the 4.3L V6 and the 4.8L inline-six through three gasoline V8s to the 6.2L diesel, and from a bare cab and chassis to a crew cab pickup. Procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics are given system by system for all of them.

Consequence
THIS CONDITION MAY CAUSE INADEQUATE SEALING AND LOSS OF ENGINE OIL, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A FIRE.
Remedy
HONEYWELL WILL REPLACE THE AFFECTED OIL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN DURING NOVEMBER 20
