Known issues on the 1992 K1500. Two recalls are recorded federally for this year, both on replacement filters fitted at service time. One describes a fuel connection that may not seal, allowing gasoline to leak and, in the presence of an ignition source, ignite. The other describes an oil filter whose poor seal can drain engine oil and raise the same fire risk. Seventeen complaints have been logged, led by four on the service brakes, three on tires and two on seat belts. Brake hydraulics, wheel and tire specifications and restraint hardware each have their own procedures and torque values in this manual.
