Known issues on the 1991 K1500. Two recalls sit on the federal record for the 1991 truck, both about replacement filters rather than original hardware. In one, a fuel filter can seal badly at the connection and allow gasoline to leak, which near an ignition source can start a fire. In the other, an oil filter can fail to seal and let the engine lose its oil, with the same fire risk named.
