1986 Chrysler LeBaron Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1986 LeBaron. Four recalls apply to the 1986 LeBaron. Certain 1986 LeBaron vehicles with a particular engine fitment could leak fuel at the supply hose joints to the regulator and rail in cold weather, and the fix relocated the regulator and rerouted the hose. On certain 1986 LeBaron vehicles with batteries from one supplier, the cap vents could be partly or fully plugged by molding flash, so gas pressure might rupture the case. On certain cars with power bucket or split front seats, a replacement driver cushion that may have been wrongly braced could crack the frame. Of 25 complaints, 5 reported a fire, 4 a crash, 2 an injury and 2 a death.
