1982 Chrysler LeBaron Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1982 LeBaron. The federal record holds four recalls for the 1982 LeBaron. On certain 1982 LeBaron vehicles driven where roads are salted, the front suspension crossmember could rust through at the rear pivot mounts of the lower control arms, letting an arm come loose and upsetting directional stability; reinforcing brackets were installed. On certain others, clamp bolts that may have had cracks could eventually break and free a ball joint from its steering knuckle, so both bolts were replaced. A third, covering 69 of certain 1982 LeBaron vehicles, replaced brake fluid that held too much water. Owners also logged 1 complaint, under structure. The crossmember, ball joints and brake hydraulics are handled through procedures, specifications, torque values and diagnostics.
