Known issues on the 1984 C3500. Federal records show nothing against this model year: no recalls, no owner complaints logged with NHTSA. That leaves ordinary wear as the reason to open the book, and on a truck bought to haul, ordinary wear lands on the driveline and the brakes first. Both are covered in full, along with engine service for all four listed powerplants, steering and suspension repair, frame and body procedures, and the electrical system, each supported by specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostic sequences.
