1982 GMC C1500 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1982 GMC C1500 covers a pickup sold in two standard cab body variants and five trims, from Base through High Sierra, Sierra Classic, Sierra Grande and Street. Four engines share the chassis: the 5.0L and 5.7L overhead-valve V8s, the 4.1L inline-six and the 6.2L diesel V8, all of them naturally aspirated. Because the diesel and the gasoline engines call for very different service data, the procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics are separated by system and by engine.

Known issues on the 1982 C1500. Nothing sits on the federal record against this model year: no recalls and no owner complaints are logged with NHTSA. That leaves the book to its ordinary work across the four engines listed above, from the 4.1L inline-six and the 5.0L and 5.7L V8s to the 6.2L diesel, along with the transmission and axles behind them, the brakes, steering and suspension under the cab, and the body electrical system. Procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics are given for each.
