Known issues on the 2024 Tucson. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers the electronic controller for the Idle Stop & Go oil pump assembly; an electric oil pump assembly that overheats increases the risk of a vehicle fire. A second applies to vehicles equipped with an optional Mobis tow hitch wiring harness, which may have been installed incorrectly, and nonfunctioning trailer lights can increase the risk of a crash. A third covers the motor-driven power steering assembly, whose circuit board may short circuit and result in a loss of power steering assist, which can increase the risk of a crash. The fourth covers the tire and loading information label, which may incorrectly indicate information about a spare tire, stating spare tire pressure when there is no spare tire on-board. Owners have filed 133 complaints for the year and Hyundai has issued 42 technical service bulletins. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you are diagnosing a steering assist warning, tracing the tow hitch harness wiring, or working through a scheduled service interval, each one lands on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for this 2024 Tucson.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2024 Tucson vehicles. The tire and loading information label may incorrectly indicate information about a spare tire. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
A label that incorrectly states spare tire pressure when there is no spare tire on-board may cause confusion during an emergency tire replacement, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

I was rear-ended at an extremely high speed by an intoxicated driver. The impact from being rear-ended pushed my vehicle into another car, damaging the front and rear of my vehicle. My car was a 2024 Tucson with 14,646 miles in perfect condition. No warning lights were on the vehicle, as I consistently take excellent care of my cars. The airbags did not deploy. My car was totaled. I had several injuries from the accident.

My car automatically braked in the middle of an intersection and caused my vehicle to be rear-ended. This was the third time automatic braking engaged when it should not have been. In the most recent incident on [XXX] I was injured and had to have medical attention. I googled automatic braking and there were many reports of automatic braking being deployed when it should not have been. While sitting in stopped traffic on the interstate in the dark in the rain on 11/25/2024 my car was in drive; my foot was on the brake. Twice the car rolled away despite my attempts to brake or put the car in Park (I shoved the shifter into Park and the car continued to roll). I rolled into the back of a semi because I could not get my vehicle to stop. This had already been noted as a problem with 2024 Tucsons, yet your search engine tells me there are 0 unrepaired recalls for my car. I want

The forward collision avoidance system made me have accident. I was driving on the expressway, the forward collision made the car stop abruptly, then accelerate. As I was veering to the right, the car stopped again in the middle of the expressway causing me to have an accident. This is unacceptable and very unsafe. This vehicle is not safe to drive with the collision warnings.
My wife was slowly pulling into a parking spot, when at about 10ft from curb the car suddenly accelerated faster than she even thought the car even was capable of (the AWD likely helped). It hopped the curb and hit a tree. She backed it up to the parking spot (it acted normally) and had it towed to dealer. In hindsight, the car had been having a progressive amount and frequency of delay in normal acceleration, sometimes having a pause of up to second or two from pedal input to car response.
Both horns failed in less than 15k miles. Any time spent on the internet shows this is a known issue. Reporting as a safety problem as you will not know they are gone until you need them to warn another car or person and you have no sound. Luckily I was not speeding and paying attention but the kid who rode a bike in front of me when my horns failed - wondered right out. I stopped just short of them. Only resulting in them falling over when they finally saw me and freaked out/fell over. Horns
I had to retrieve something from the back of my Hyundai Tucson Hybrid SUV, opened the back door. I retrieved several items and placed them in a safe area. Got back into my vehicle and proceeded to drive into my garage (with the rear door fully open). Next thing I heard was my Tucson crashing into my garage door. I had no warnings, flashing lights or audio sounds nothing that would help me avoid that collision. The reason I purchased this particular vehicle was because it comes with sensors and c
