2018 Hyundai Tucson Service and Repair Manual
Engine and trim decide which numbers apply on a 2018 Hyundai Tucson: the same job is specified differently on the turbocharged 1.6L than on either naturally aspirated four, and Hyundai wrote those figures for the 2018 car rather than carrying them across from an adjacent year.

Known issues on the 2018 Tucson. One recall is on federal record for this model year, campaign 20V543000, filed under service brakes, hydraulic: antilock/traction control/electronic limited. The stated consequence is that an engine compartment fire can increase the risk of injury or crash. Hyundai recalled certain 2019-2021 Tucson vehicles on September 4, 2020, then on December 30, 2020 expanded the recall population and added certain 2016-2018 Tucson vehicles. Owners have filed 516 complaints against the 2018 Tucson and Hyundai has issued 125 technical service bulletins.
Whether the job is chasing a fault in the antilock and traction control circuit, servicing the turbocharged 1.6L or one of the naturally aspirated fours, or meeting a scheduled interval on a Limited or an SEL, the specification that matters is the one Hyundai set for this year and this drivetrain.
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) recalled certain 2019-2021 Tucson vehicles on September 4, 2020. On December 30, 2020, Hyundai expanded the recall population, and added certain 2016-2018 Tucson vehicles. The Anti-lock Brake Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) could corrode internally and cause an electrical short, possibly resulting in an engine compartment fire.
An engine compartment fire can increase the risk of injury or crash.
Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the HECU fuse. For 2019-2021 model years, the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) software will also be updated. Recall repairs will be performed free of charge. Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures as a precaution until the recall repair is complete. The recall began November 2, 2020. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 195.
