2022 Land Rover Discovery Service and Repair Manual
Matched to the 2022 Land Rover Discovery as it was actually built, right down to which of the two available powerplants sits under your hood, the 3.0L L6 (VIN U) mild hybrid or the 2.0L L4 (VIN X, AJ20P), so the specifications and tightening sequences you work to were written for this exact year, engine and trim rather than approximated from another model year.

Known issues on the 2022 Discovery. Five recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners, which may be damaged so that the seat belts do not properly restrain occupants, and improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash. The second covers engine lubrication: the cam carrier oil channel may be blocked, which can lead to an oil leak, and an oil leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. The third covers the DC-DC converter on mild hybrid vehicles, which can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip, and that failure results in a loss of 12-volt system charging, where a loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. The fourth covers the driver's air bag clockspring connector, which may corrode and cause the air bag not to deploy as intended, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. The fifth covers the rearview camera: water may not be able to drain away from it because of insufficient drain holes, which may result in damage to the rearview camera, and an image that does not display can decrease the driver's visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Owners have logged 9 complaints for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Chasing a 12-volt charging fault on the mild hybrid, tracing the cam carrier oil channel or working through a rearview camera that has gone dark, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2022 Discovery.
