Known issues on the 2020 Sprinter 2500. Twenty-two recalls name the 2020 Sprinter 2500; separately, NHTSA filed 2 recalls against the 2020 Sprinter line. Instrument clusters account for two: certain vans could start with a blank display showing no speed or warnings, and on certain others the cluster lighting could not be dimmed and glared too brightly. Certain vans needed attention because a propeller shaft bearing could work loose from its crossmember, affecting control and, in a crash, the fuel tank. Electrical faults lead the 80 complaints with 20, then power train with 18 and the engine with 15; 3 complaints reported a crash and 1 a fire.
