Known issues on the 2014 Sprinter 2500. Four recalls cover the 2014 Sprinter 2500. The one tied to the engine affected certain vans built between late February and late November 2014, where oil could seep from the chain tensioner gasket onto hot surfaces and create a fire risk; dealers fitted a new gasket. On certain vans, the air bag control unit lacked its protective plate, and certain vans had a passenger inflator that could explode.
