Known issues on the 2015 Sprinter 2500. Twelve recalls appear in NHTSA's listings for the 2015 Sprinter 2500. On certain vans, the return hoses of the hydraulic power steering could pull free at their joints, spilling fluid and cutting steering assist without warning. Certain vans left the factory with no bracing plate or guard bracket around the air bag control module, so the unit might stop working after a first impact and fail to fire more air bags in a second one. Certain vans also lacked a driveshaft catch strap, leaving a loose shaft free to puncture the fuel tank. Steering leads the 20 owner complaints with 4, and 1 complaint reported a crash.
