Known issues on the 2019 CX-9. The federal record shows 2 recalls for the 2019 CX-9. On certain 2019 CX-9 vehicles, the impeller in the low-pressure fuel pump could crack or deform and stop the pump, stalling the engine; dealers fitted replacement fuel pumps. The second covered certain 2019 CX-9 vehicles riding on a specific tire model and size from a particular date code; a wrong rubber compound might have gone into those tires, so the tread could separate and come off. Dealers checked the tire serial numbers and replaced tires where needed, and the recall covered 146 vehicles. Owners submitted 53 complaints; 23 concern the engine, and 1 reported a crash.
