Known issues on the 2007 CX-9. The 2007 CX-9 carries 5 recalls. Several concern the passenger air bag inflator on certain 2007 CX-9 vehicles, some limited to those sold or registered in certain states or to those whose inflator a prior recall had replaced: its propellant could degrade with humidity and heat cycling, and the inflator could rupture and throw fragments. Owners were told not to drive until an alternate was fitted.
