Known issues on the 2018 Versa. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the mechanical key ignition system: weight on the key ring, road conditions, or a jarring event can shift the switch out of the run position and into accessory, stalling the engine without warning and raising the risk of a crash. The second covers the back-up camera system: the display settings can be adjusted so the rear-view image no longer shows, and the system holds that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse, increasing the risk of a crash.
