2014 Nissan LEAF Service and Repair Manual
Everything in this factory service and repair manual is written to the 2014 Nissan LEAF exactly as it left the plant, down to the EM57 traction motor and the equipment level of your trim, so the clearances, torque values and tightening sequences you work to are the ones Nissan published for this model year and not a number carried across from an adjacent year of the car.

Known issues on the 2014 LEAF. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers the service brakes: during very cold temperatures the relay inside the electronic brake booster may freeze, and if the brake relay fails, longer distances or additional brake effort would be required to stop the vehicle. A second covers the occupant classification system software, which may incorrectly classify the front passenger seat as empty when it is occupied by an adult, deactivating the passenger airbag so it may not deploy in a crash where deployment is warranted. A third, also on the occupant classification sensor, covers an adult passenger being incorrectly classified as a child or the seat classified as empty despite being occupied, again leaving the passenger frontal airbag undeployed. A fourth covers the vehicle structure: the front structural member assembly may be missing welds, which could reduce the structural integrity of the vehicle in a crash. A fifth covers the inverter, where a problem with the motor control circuit board may cause the inverter to fail and the vehicle to shut down. The sixth covers incorrect defroster operation instructions in the owner's manual, which may result in reduced defroster performance and limited visibility out of the windshield. Owners have filed 34 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether the job is a cold-weather brake booster complaint, an occupant classification fault behind the passenger airbag, or inverter and high-voltage service, it holds you to the correct 2014 LEAF procedure and specification.
