Known issues on the 2014 Sprinter 3500. Of the five recalls for the 2014 Sprinter 3500, one reaches into the engine: certain vans built from late February to late November 2014 could leak oil around the chain tensioner gasket, and oil on hot parts raises the chance of fire. Certain camper and RV conversions could see stability control drop out. Certain vans were missing the reinforcement that keeps the air bag control module working after a first impact, and in certain vans a passenger inflator with degraded propellant could explode when the bag deployed in a crash.
