Known issues on the 2010 Sprinter 3500. Five recalls are listed by NHTSA for the 2010 Sprinter 3500. Certain vans may have been assembled with the wrong A-pillar trim covering, which would not cushion an occupant who hit it as required. On certain vans, the passenger frontal air bag inflator's propellant could degrade after years of humidity and temperature swings, so the inflator could rupture and throw metal fragments when the bag deployed in a crash. Certain vans produced from November 2009 through March 2010 could develop a cracked spring plate at the oil filler neck and seep oil. The engine draws 2 of the 4 owner complaints.
