This service and repair manual is tied to the 2014 Lexus LX 570 specifically — its model year, its 5.7L V8 (3UR-FE), its trim — so the clearances, torque values and procedures you work from are the ones Lexus published for this truck, not close approximations borrowed from an adjacent year.

Known issues on the 2014 LX 570. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the passenger-side frontal air bag inflator module: over time the seat belt tension sensor wire harness may break and deactivate the front passenger air bag, the knee air bag and the passenger seat-mounted side air bag, and in the event of a crash deactivated air bags can increase the risk of injury. The second covers the gasoline fuel pump in the fuel delivery system: if the fuel pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. No owner complaints and no technical service bulletins are on file for the year. The diagnostic and repair procedures behind both of those systems are here.
Chasing a restraint-system fault, a stall while driving, or simply a scheduled service on the 5.7L, you stay on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for this 2014 LX 570.
