Known issues on the 2011 LX 570. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two of them concern the passenger-side frontal air bag inflator module. In the first, the seat belt tension sensor wire harness may break over time and deactivate the front passenger air bag, the knee air bag and the passenger seat-mounted side air bag, and in the event of a crash deactivated air bags can increase the risk of injury. In the second, the vehicle may be equipped with an incorrect driver or front passenger air bag that may not deploy as intended in a crash, leaving it out of compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208, Occupant Crash Protection. The third covers the accelerator pedal, which can get stuck in the wide open position after being trapped by an unsecured or incompatible driver's floor mat; a stuck open pedal may result in very high vehicle speeds and make the vehicle difficult to stop, which could cause a crash, serious injury or death.
