Known issues on the 2012 TL. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, both on the driver's frontal air bag inflator module. In the first (19V500000), an inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants. In the second (16V061000), the same driver's frontal air bag inflator module is the faulted part in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of that air bag. Owners have filed 162 complaints and Acura has issued 72 technical service bulletins for the year. This manual carries the factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems.
From a scheduled service interval to supplemental restraint work or a hard-to-trace wiring fault, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2012 TL.
