Known issues on the 2007 Murano. Two recalls are on federal record for this model. The first covers the engine and engine cooling system on MY2003-2007 Murano vehicles: the intake air ducts connecting to the intermediate resonator can prematurely age and shrink, causing them to separate from the resonator and the engine to stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. The second covers the air bag occupant classification system on vehicles equipped with Continental Automotive Systems' OCS control units (including MY2009 Murano): an out-of-specification varistor in the passenger seat cushion control unit can interrupt the signal to the air bag control unit, which could suppress the passenger air bag and leave it unable to provide adequate protection in a crash.
