Known issues on the 2007 SL600. NHTSA filed one recall against the 2007 R230-chassis models rather than the SL600 itself. It covered certain cars in that group equipped with Active Body Control, whose front strut acceleration sensors could carry solder joints outside tolerance; the two sides could then read differently, so one front strut adjusted and the other did not, leaving the nose uneven. Dealers checked the sensors and swapped any that needed it. Owners logged two complaints against the 2007 SL600 itself, covering exterior lighting and service brakes, and one complaint against the 2007 SL-Class line concerns the power train. Suspension, lighting and brake procedures, wiring diagrams and diagnostics in the manual cover those systems.
