Known issues on the 2006 Savana 3500. Seven recalls are recorded against this model year. A power steering hose built out of specification can fracture under full-lock maneuvers and lose fluid, taking power assist and, on hydro-boost vehicles, brake assist with it. Seat belt buckles that will not latch or unlatch account for two of the campaigns, and unused rear air-conditioning blower wiring on cutaway chassis can corrode and overheat. Ten owner complaints are logged, led by the steering, then the engine and seats, so the steering hydraulics are where the record and the owners agree.
