Known issues on the 2003 Savana 3500. The federal record lists eight recalls against this van, and they span several unrelated systems. Seat belt buckles that refuse to latch or release account for one of them; corrosion of the fuel filler pipe, severe enough to let fuel escape during refueling, accounts for another. Two more trace to steering fasteners left under-torqued, a pitman arm nut in one case and a right-hand tie rod end nut in the other, either of which can let the linkage come apart. Owners filed thirty-six complaints, weighted toward service brakes, engine and cooling, and fuel delivery — the systems this manual documents with torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostic routines.
