Known issues on the 2004 Savana 3500. The federal record holds seven recalls for this model year. The braking ones matter most: a hydraulic brake booster accumulator that can crack and break away from the hydro-boost assembly, and an out-of-specification relief valve bore that lets the valve O-ring fracture. Others cover seat belt buckles that will not latch or release, a brittle buckle latch, and a transmission shift cable that can separate so the indicated gear no longer matches the actual one. Eighteen owner complaints are logged, the largest share of them on the service brakes, with the fuel system and tires next.
