Known issues on the 2004 Corvette. Four recalls are on record. One concerns lower control arm ball stud nut and washer assemblies made of the wrong material: the washers can fracture, clamp load falls away, and the control arm can separate from the knuckle and drop that corner of the car. A second involves a column lock that may not release the steering at start-up. Two aftermarket lamp recalls complete the list. Complaints reach 217 and cluster on the fuel system with ninety-five, fuel and propulsion with forty-nine and steering with thirty-six.
