Known issues on the 2001 Yukon. Eight recalls are on the federal record. One covers unwanted antilock brake activation, more likely where road salt is used, which lengthens stopping distances during low-speed braking. A second involves a cracked internal part in the outboard second and third row belt retractors, so a belt may stop locking after repeated use. A third concerns aftermarket running-board courtesy lights that can overheat when moisture and salt reach the harness, melting the board or starting a fire.
