Known issues on the 2000 9-3. Three recalls appear on the federal record for the 2000 9-3. Certain cars had fuel pump tabs that were damaged in production, so the fuel lines could work loose from the pump and leak, creating a fire risk; dealers are to add a bracket to hold the lines. Certain cars equipped with the four-cylinder engines named in the campaign could overheat a transistor inside the ignition discharge module, which could stall the engine; older modules were replaced. Certain cars also had air bag alert labels that might not have been permanently fixed. Of 62 complaints, 25 name the electrical system; 9 reported an injury.
