This factory service and repair manual for the 2000 Chevrolet Venture arrives at the widest trim range the van would see: Base, LS, LT, Plus, Value and a Warner Bros. edition, all on a single four-door mini passenger van body. Mechanically the picture stays narrow, with one naturally aspirated 3.4L OHV V6 of 207 cubic inches. Known issues on the 2000 Venture. Eight recalls stand against this year. Seat belt buckle bases that were not heat treated properly can fail their load requirement, leaving an occupant unrestrained in a crash. Fuel tank rollover valves that do not close can let fuel escape in a rollover, where any ignition source turns a leak into a fire. A power sliding door that latches only partly can open while the van is under way. Owners logged 384 complaints, with engine and cooling at 83, structure at 51 and the electrical system at 38.
