1999 Ford E-150 Econoline Club Wagon Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1999 Ford E-150 Econoline Club Wagon covers a two-door standard passenger van built as a Chateau, a Custom or an XLT. Three naturally aspirated gasoline engines are documented: the 4.2L overhead-valve V6 of 256 cubic inches, the 4.6L overhead-cam V8 of 281 and the 5.4L overhead-cam V8 of 330. The book is arranged by system, so procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for all three engines share one set of chassis and body sections.

Known issues on the 1999 E-150 Econoline Club Wagon. Seven recalls are on the federal record for the 1999 wagon. Cargo door strikers were found with stress cracks that could let a door open in a crash, lug nuts could bottom out on the studs and leave a wheel loosely clamped, and some vehicles were built with speedometer drive gears of the wrong ratio. A cruise control fuse, a CNG conversion labeling problem and two aftermarket lamp campaigns make up the rest. Owners have filed 308 complaints with NHTSA, led by engine and engine cooling, tires and service brakes.
