Known issues on the 1982 E-150 Econoline Club Wagon. Two recalls are on the federal record for this wagon. Front seat belt anchorages were found inadequate to protect occupants in a crash or a sudden stop, and a transmission shift rod could sit improperly in the retention grommet of the column shift lever, so that if it came out the driver could no longer choose a gear. Owners have filed three complaints with NHTSA, one apiece on the seats, tires and equipment. Restraint anchorage and shift linkage work are both covered by the procedures and torque values here.
