Known issues on the 1989 E-150 Econoline Club Wagon. Two recalls stand on the federal record for the 1989 wagon. A dual fuel tank selector valve could overfill one tank until fuel came past the filler cap, and a snap ring holding the transmission park gear could fracture, so a parked wagon might roll if the parking brake was not set. Owners have filed 33 complaints with NHTSA, headed by the electrical system, then the fuel system, then engine and engine cooling. Fuel storage, transmission and wiring work are all set out here with their specifications and diagnostics.
