Known issues on the 1999 LeSabre. Two recall campaigns are logged against the 1999 LeSabre. On certain 1999 LeSabre vehicles with the 3800 V6 and certain fuel pressure regulators, leaking fuel could reach the intake through a vacuum line and feed a backfire on a failed start, rupturing the manifold. On certain cars with the 4T65E automatic, a clip holding the manual valve link could loosen, so the selected gear might not match the transmission's real state; this recall covered 99,333 vehicles. Owners lodged 208 complaints in all, with engine and engine cooling accounting for 69 of them. Twenty of those complaints reported a fire, 19 a crash, 15 an injury and 2 a death.
