1986 Buick LeSabre Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1986 LeSabre. Two recalls apply to the 1986 LeSabre. On certain 1986 LeSabre vehicles with cruise control and certain engines, a slipping bushing at the cruise servo could push engine speed up without warning or let the engine run on, and the servo rod could jam the throttle. Certain cars also had a push-pull headlight switch whose contacts could make the headlights flicker or cut out entirely; the switch was replaced where needed. Of 16 complaints, 6 involve the engine and engine cooling; 1 complaint reported a crash and 1 an injury. Wiring diagrams for the headlight switch and lighting, and diagnostics for the engine and cruise control, are included.
