Known issues on the 1998 Sonoma. Four recalls are recorded. One describes an engine harness clip that can melt, drip onto the exhaust manifold and ignite. Another involves the right-hand rear axle brake pipe fracturing from fatigue, bleeding pressure slowly until the pedal goes soft. A third covers daytime running lights too bright for the height at which they were mounted, and the fourth a service fuel pressure regulator that can leak. Of 181 complaints, visibility leads, then seats and brakes — engine wiring, brake hydraulics and lighting all have sections here.
