1995 GMC Sonoma Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 GMC Sonoma serves three trims — SL, SLE and SLS — and two cab styles, the two-door extended cab pickup and the two-door standard cab pickup. Under the hood the choice is a 2.2L inline-four of 134 cubic inches or a 4.3L V6 of 262 cubic inches, both naturally aspirated and overhead-valve. Whichever is fitted, the procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for the engine and everything bolted to it are grouped by system.

Known issues on the 1995 Sonoma. Seven recalls are on the federal record. Three cover fuel parts supplied for service that can leak and feed a fire: a return line without its bleed valve, a replacement filter that seals badly, and a pressure regulator missing its sealing ring. Two are antilock brake defects that stretch stopping distances. One is safety belt webbing that can tear in a frontal crash, and one is cracked solder joints leaving the wipers working only intermittently. Brakes and visibility together dominate 256 complaints; both are diagnosed in these sections.
