VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. INADVERTENT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT CAN OCCUR AFTER UNDERCARRIAGE CONTACT OF THE TOW HOOKS WITH CURBS, DIPS, SPEEDBUMPS, POTHOLES, ETC.
Consequence
UNEXPECTED AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
Remedy

MY VEHICLE, A 1995 SUBARU LEGACY L STATION WAGON, HAD STALLED AT A RED LIGHT. SHORTLY AFTER THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I WAS REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. I WAS IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT OF MY VEHICLE. UP
CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR END COLLISION. AS A RESULT, DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BACK COLLAPSED, INJURING THE DRIVER. ALSO, WHEN THE SEAT COLLAPSED IT INJURED THE REAR PASSENGER'S LEGS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON I-95 IN DELAWARE NEAR PA BORDER, IN A HIGH WIND, MY CAR SUDDENTLY SWERVED TO THE RIGHT. I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS CAUSED BY WIND OR NOT. IN TRYING TO STRAIGTEN OUT CAR, I SEEMED TO HAVE
THE FAILURE OF THE UPPER STRUT MOUNT WAS A COMPLETE CIRCULAR FRACTURE AROUND THE STRUT RETAINING NUT.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 45 MPH ANOTHER VEHICLE IN FRONT OF CONSUMER WAS TRYING TO MAKE A LEFT, AND CONSUMER HIT THE VEHICLE BROADSIDE. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BURNING CONSUMER'S RIGHT ARM. *AK
