Known issues on the 2023 Legacy. Subaru has recalled certain 2023 Legacy cars twice. On certain cars, the center support bolts for the driveshaft could work loose until the front end of the shaft disconnected; dealers cleaned the mounting surfaces and fitted new bolts. Certain cars could also suffer a failed transmission inhibitor switch after water got past an inadequate weld, leaving the reverse lights and rearview camera image inoperative. Owners filed 10 complaints, with air bags and forward collision avoidance at 2 each, and 2 complaints reported a crash.
