Known issues on the 2016 Legacy. The 2016 Legacy has 3 recalls. On certain cars built within a stated production window, the steering column may have been machined incorrectly so that turning the wheel might not steer the car; owners were told not to drive the vehicle until it was repaired. Certain cars built in a separate window could have loosely tightened nuts let the drive shaft come off the rear differential and strike the fuel tank. A third covered certain cars from yet another build window whose deformed propeller shaft seal cap could leak transmission oil onto the exhaust.
